The online creator world was rocked this week after reports surfaced that TikTok personality Mason Hull, widely known online as “Hullo,” had allegedly been released from jail following serious criminal charges tied to explicit material involving minors. The case quickly exploded across social media after predator-hunting content creator JiDion addressed the situation publicly, warning followers about Hull’s reported release on bond. The controversy first gained traction when JiDion’s EDP Watch platform claimed Hull had been arrested in Sarasota, Florida, on 15 counts connected to the possession of “obscene material” involving minors. Within hours, screenshots of alleged jail records and bond information spread online, sparking outrage, fear, and heated debate among internet users. The situation has since become one of the most discussed stories in streamer culture this week, especially because Hull has remained publicly silent while criticism continues to grow.
Mason Hull bond details spark backlash online
On May 7, JiDion uploaded a short video to X explaining that Mason Hull was no longer in custody. The YouTuber pointed to alleged incarceration records showing multiple charges and bond information tied to the case. According to the records shown in the clip, Hull’s listed bond amount for each count was reportedly set at $7,500.JiDion broke down the numbers for viewers while expressing frustration over the release conditions.“Y’all, I’m sorry to tell you guys this, but we got some bad news. Right now, he is currently on bond, meaning that he is out of jail. He is still being charged, but as you guys can see, it says hold, and then it says ‘N’ for no. And each charge that he got hit with is $7,500. So, each charge being $7,500, and him having 15 charges, all you have to do is 15 times $7,500, then you do times 10% because you only have to post 10% of your bond, and for 15 counts of cheese pizza, that’s all he had to pay to be free.“The video spread rapidly online, with many social media users questioning how someone facing such allegations could reportedly secure release so quickly.
JiDion calls Mason Hull a “danger to society”
As the clip continued, JiDion became more direct in his criticism of the content creator. He argued that the reported restrictions listed in the records raised even more concern among viewers following the case.“See, the more disgusting is, literally, on his thing, he can’t be on social media, and he can’t be anywhere around kids. Now, me personally, I do not think he should be free. I think he is a danger to society, but I just want to let the people of Sarasota know he is free. He is walking amongst you, so please be careful.”So far, Mason Hull has not publicly responded to the allegations or the viral backlash surrounding the reported arrest and release. Meanwhile, the conversation continues to dominate online spaces, with many waiting for further legal developments and official clarification in the case.
